Jordan Pass
Jordan Pass – Complete Guide for Visitors
The Jordan Pass is a special travel pass designed to make visiting Jordan’s most famous attractions easier for international visitors. Instead of purchasing separate tickets for each site, travelers can buy a single pass that allows entry to many historical and cultural locations across the country.
This pass is especially useful for travelers planning to explore well-known destinations such as Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, and the Amman Citadel, as it combines several entrance tickets into one convenient digital pass. However, it is important to know that the Jordan Pass only covers the entrance fee and does not include activities or tours inside Wadi Rum.
If you are planning to explore the desert, you can book a Wadi Rum jeep tour to visit the most famous desert landmarks with local Bedouin guides.
What Does the Jordan Pass Include?
One of the main advantages of the Jordan Pass is that it provides entry to more than 40 tourist attractions across Jordan. These include some of the country’s most important historical and archaeological sites.
Some of the most popular attractions included in the pass are:
Petra Archaeological City
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Jerash Roman Ruins
Amman Citadel
Ajloun Castle
Umm Qais
Madaba Archaeological Park
Several museums and historical landmarks across Jordan
These sites represent a large part of Jordan’s cultural heritage and history, making the Jordan Pass a convenient option for visitors who plan to explore multiple destinations during their trip.
Jordan Pass Prices
The Jordan Pass is available in three different options depending on how many days you want to visit Petra.
Jordan Wanderer – 70 JOD
Includes entry to Petra for one day.
Jordan Explorer – 75 JOD
Includes entry to Petra for two consecutive days.
Jordan Expert – 80 JOD
Includes entry to Petra for three consecutive days.
All three passes include entry to the same attractions across Jordan. The only difference between them is the number of days allowed for visiting Petra.
Jordan Pass and Visa Fees
Another important benefit of the Jordan Pass is related to the tourist visa. If the pass is purchased before arriving in Jordan and the visitor stays in the country for at least two nights, the tourist visa fee is waived.
The standard visa on arrival usually costs around 40 Jordanian Dinars, so this benefit can help travelers save money during their visit.
How the Jordan Pass Works
After purchasing the Jordan Pass online, visitors receive a digital ticket that includes a QR code. This code can be shown at the entrance of participating attractions where it will be scanned by staff.
The pass can be stored on a mobile phone or printed if preferred, allowing visitors to enter attractions without carrying multiple paper tickets.
Is the Jordan Pass Worth It ?
For travelers planning to visit several attractions in Jordan, the Jordan Pass can be a convenient and cost-effective option. Since Petra tickets and visa fees already represent a large part of travel expenses, combining them in one pass can help visitors save money and simplify their travel plans.
However, if you are not planning to visit Petra, the Jordan Pass may not be worth purchasing, since Petra is the most expensive attraction included in the pass.
Many travelers choose the Jordan Pass because it allows them to explore Jordan’s most famous historical sites without the need to purchase individual tickets at each location.

Both the tour through the desert and the accommodation were really great, not at least because of the nice people around. The tent was large, spacious and very comfortable. The views from the tent were breathtaking - we could see the desert stretching in front of us and a lot of stars at night.
