 Lawrence House – Wadi Rum

Lawrence House is one of the historical sites located in the desert of Wadi Rum. The site consists of the remains of a small stone structure built on a rocky hill overlooking the desert valley.

The place became known as Lawrence House because it is associated with Thomas Edward Lawrence, the British officer who traveled through Wadi Rum during the Arab Revolt. Although historians believe the building may have existed before his time, the site later became linked to his story.

From the top of the hill where the ruins are located, visitors can enjoy a wide panoramic view of the surrounding desert landscape, including red sand valleys and sandstone mountains.

Today, Lawrence House is a popular stop during Wadi Rum jeep tours. Visitors often climb the small hill to explore the ruins and take photos of the beautiful desert scenery.

The peaceful desert atmosphere and the historical story connected to the site make it one of the interesting places to visit in Wadi Rum.

Lawrence House is located about 14 kilometers from Wadi Rum Village, and it usually takes around 20 minutes by jeep to reach the area.

Because of its historical connection and beautiful views, Lawrence House remains one of the well-known stops included in many desert tour routes in Wadi Rum.
