Wadi Rum Protected Area

Located in southern Jordan, the Wadi Rum Protected Area is one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the Middle East. Often called the Valley of the Moon, this vast desert is famous for its towering sandstone mountains, wide red sand dunes, and ancient rock inscriptions that tell the story of human presence in the desert for thousands of years.

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, Wadi Rum is a place where natural beauty and Bedouin culture come together. Visitors can explore dramatic desert scenery, discover historic sites, and experience unforgettable adventures such as jeep tours, camel rides, and overnight stays under the desert stars.
